Birthday tomorrow. Excitement, excitement.
Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle is playing at Kimball theatre. More excitement. It's our movie, see. Me (whose name means White Castle), AD (who is Indian and is thus Kumar), and Mike (who is AD's roommate, Chinese, and thus Harold).
Rumors at this school make me sick. It was bad enough at SHA, where we were 120 girls. Everyone knew everyone else's business and with whom this business had been done. But here it's really awful - I spend half my time trying to squash untrue rumors about people I care about, and the other half listening to people's problems. Resident counselor?

You know how it is. Someone buys you something excellent for your birthday. You're ecstatic. Gleeful, even. But then it hits you. Oh, woe - how ever am I to top this, in turn, for their birthday?
I have reason to suspect that I will be receiving from one certain person a JCrew scarf, Coach wristlet, or, even worse, both. This person's birthday is in January, so not only do I have to think of a much better birthday present, but also a fantastic and brilliant Christmas gift. Material objects be damned.
I've asked others what to get for him, and I get the same answer: sexual favors. Granted, yes, the only people I've asked are guys. In any case, that is totally out of the question, but I refuse to fall back on the old gift certificate to his favorite store, because that is just plain lame. Sweater? DVDs? I suck at buying presents, let alone presents for guys, and even worse at buying presents for significant guys.
